How to make an icon like this:
First, apply a pattern to your icon. If you use photoshop, you can do this by clicking + holding the "clone stamp tool." There should be an option titled "pattern stamp tool." If you do not use photoshop, you can use one of these patterns i've stamped for your use:
Now you create or find a PSD. I will be using this PSD that is from PSDelightful. I shrunk the image to a size that will fit my 100x100 shape.
I then applied the image to the pattern. Then, I outlined the PSD by right-clicking on the layer with the PSD and going to blending options, then the "stroke" tab. My icon now looks like this:
For extra spiffy appearance, I added a brush from latexandleather and I used the font named "violation" at size 18pt, and stroked the text layer [same as stroking any layer].
