I believe I should fit in more time to practice my music...
Classes are going well, as expected. They could be more challenging, but at present it seems my attention is going to be divided between them and a... mild distraction. The lack of more demanding academics will be appreciated, if only for a short time.

He has informed me he will give you the rest of the term to satisfy his expectations before he makes his final decision. Of course, I will be there to assist you whatever your need.
