oh man.
i just read this story heat by joyce carol oates, another that i had to read for english. even though i'm not going to class tomorrow because of the thesbian society.
it was...so. horrifying, i guess you could say.
what i liked best about this story was how equivocal it is, it gently pried open your mind and allowed your imagination to run you ragged with the endless possibilities, what really was and what really happened.
which is terrifying to say the least, if you read the story and then sit back and think about...think about what you were thinking the whole time. you feel like spitting "dirty" and "obsene" and "disgusting" and "horrible", spitting out the dirtiest words you can think of because you thought those words to fit what you saw in your head.
i like stories that affect you this way.
