We had a friend of Dan's over on Thursday night. I'll call him Mr.T to conceal his real identity and because giving my friends secret code names makes me feel terribly important. Dan met Mr.T at PPD Research, the place where he used to work as a human guinea pig. Mr.T is a regular there, so he told us lots of funny stories about the PPD pool sharks and the idiots who do cocaine in the bathrooms after being injected with whatever mystery drug their group happens to be testing. There was also once a research study that paid $6000 for one weekend of "work," but the catch was that you had to get a spinal tap! We all had a good laugh about that. Mainly we just watched "Red vs. Blue" (which I think is really funny at parts but really boring at others) and "Blazing Saddles." That's right! My fiance and I are slowly but surely building up our Mel Brooks collection. Next I'm going to try and buy "Silent Movie" and "The Producers" if I can find them. Also, I thought it was strange that Mr.T told us that Mel Brooks directed "The Princess Bride." (He didn't; I checked.) My response was, "No way. There's not enough dick jokes in it. Each Mel Brooks movie has to have at least ten dick jokes."
Dan and I are going to see
Super Happy Fun Monkey Bash 3!! The second one was so cool. It had the Green Leaves (the guys who dance in their underwear), a few episodes of "Oh Mikey!" (a show about a family of mannequins), and those commercials with the lethargic pandas! こんどの映画は本当におかしそうだ。プレビューの見た目ほど面白いといいな. (I don't know why, but I dig Japanese commercials and weird game shows. They're just so different from the stuff on American TV.) I'll try and post a short review for anyone who wants to go see it and just happens to be in the Austin area. I don't go to movies all that often because I don't wanna waste $5.50 (student discount) unless I feel like it's really worth it.
