Hanakimi drama 花樣少年少女
Yesterday, I watched the first episode of the new Taiwanese drama version of Hanazakari no Kimitachi E or 花樣少年少女 (Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu ).
This version stars Ella as Rui Xi (Mizuki), Wu Zun as Yi Quan (Sano) and Jiro Wang as Xiu Yi(Nakatsu). And I have to say that this is one wacky, crazy drama. But yes, I found myself laughing all the way. If you need a good laugh, I recommend definitely watching HanaKimi. It's just too outrageous you can't help but laugh. Lots of fun!
Oh and I must comment about Umeda-sensei aka Mei Tian in here. What the heck is up with his hair!??! Actually, he freaked me out during the first part of the episode. There's just something really creepy about him. I don't remember feeling that way about him when I read the manga. Oh yeah, he was definitely sexier in the manga. ^.^;;;
The last time I saw Wu Zun was when he was in Tokyo Juliet. I like his hair so much better in this drama. It's nice and short. It definitely gives him that Sano look. And he's very cute when he's sleeping...which is what Sano does best. ^^
As for Ella, I think she's okay. She overexaggerates a bit but then again this drama is pretty wacky so I guess she's supposed to be like that. Although, I think my first pick for Mizuki would've been Ariel but I don't mind Ella in this role at all.
Jiro as Nakatsu is perfect though!!! Actually, when he was in It Started with a Kiss I often thought he'd make a great Nakatsu. So he fits this role perfectly. OMGosh, the part where Nakatsu has that list of his Ultimate BEST FRIENDS FOREVER was sooo adorable. He's so naive! I loved when he scratched out Sano's name to put in Mizuki's at #1 all the while apologizing to Sano. hahaha
Oh man, and then the umbilical cord...oh gosh that had me in stitches. I'd run away like Mizuki did, too.
Yang Yang ~~ haha, I'm guessing that Yang Yang is Nakao. I loved when he called Mizuki out and then in frustration went the wrong way and when he got back to Mizuki & Nanba they were all like "what are you doing back here?" and he was still angry and pouting saying "what's wrong with going the wrong way?" Too priceless.
Speaking of Nan-xuezhang (Nanba-sempai). Wow, I think he's cute. This definitely is Hanakimi isn't it? LOL. ^D^
DaShu (Kayashima Taiki)---I'm glad they kept Taiki for the drama. He's one of my favorite characters in the manga but man he's far more creepier in the drama.
So, that's it for now. Bottome Line: If you're a fan of HanaKimi manga and want a good laugh watch this drama. Plus, it's interesting to see how different or alike the characters are from the manga.
Darn, it's bedtime for me so I'll head off to bed now.
