Mother Teresa's Prayer
I have known this prayer (meditation would probably be a better word for it, actually) since I was a little girl and it has been very inspiring to me, regardless of religious persuasion, so I thought I would share it:
Christ has no body now but yours, no hands, no feet, on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on the world, yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands
with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet. Yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now but yours.
Yesterday I was given a wonderful illustration of this prayer when Jeremiah, Ed and Jeremy took care of me all day so I wouldn't have to be alone and upset on my birthday. You will never quite know how much that meant to me. Thank you, everyone.
