Plan B

Ever since I began considering life after college, I have alluded to Plan B (and sometimes even a Plan C). Plan B (or C) has nothing to do with finding a job (ostensibly Plan A), and everything to do with life as a single, unattached person with no debt being awesome, if it's just used correctly ( Read more... )

Hmm, this is tricky. The money-saving worrier in me advises you not to burn through those savings in such a way, especially as your car has been acting up quite a bit lately, and your job prospects are a little sketchy. When taking the rest of me into account...that trip does sound like fun, but.. I'm not sure if it would be worth it, mostly for the money reasons. If visiting different places is something you want to accomplish, then that's definitely a situation where having some extra cash to burn would NOT go unheeded; but, you also have the most experience abroad of everyone I know, and I'm sure you'd be able to budget correctly and such. I guess it all depends on what you really want and what is worth the most to you in the balance of things. I will say one more thing, though: if you were able to find two such trips now, then presumably there will be more in the future, so if you do decide to wait until you've got a job with time off, then there's a decent chance you'll be able to do something similar if you want. Just keep us updated! :)
