So hey, quick state of the nation: I'm living at home for the summer, working the museum beat with filing at the clinic filling my free time. Looking forward to an election for the first time in my life, even though I'm betting that nothing will change. I will a little upset if the first Canadian government to ever be held in contempt of Parliament

This election is actually going very differently than others if you examine advance polling. The NDP are coming across as very strong, stronger than ever before. Although I don't know where your vote is best used in P.A., I would suggest NDP or Green. Liberals aren't going to get much out of Saskatchewan, and if you give your vote to the Greens (who have been getting more and more votes every year, and are certainly a legitimate party), you delegitimize the exclusion of Elizabeth May (the party leader) from the debates as well as providing an indication of the importance of environmental issues to Canadians.
On the other hand, voting NDP is probably the second most likely party to win in P.A. I'm pretty sure P.A. is kind of the butt-end of Conservatives. Go, Saskatchewan!! So, really, I would vote in another region if I were you, and wanted to make my vote count. You live in Saskatoon most of the time, anyways, so it's not like you can't do that.
This election has been very exciting so far!! I wouldn't expect same-old same-old so far if I were you, because so far we haven't been getting it. And definitely not a Conservative majority!! That's practically impossible from my perspective.
No matter what, we'll probably get a minority. If it's a conservative, though, we may or may not get a coalition. That is, of course, only speculation. Anyways, [info]canpolitik is an interesting community, so you should check it out!!

if I chose another region, I'd miss my chance to not vote for the Canadian Action Party! Their only candidate in the province is here!
(I will check out canpolitik tomorrow I think!)
