the_dmle is a Harry Potter RPG, post-Deathly Hallows and sans Epilogue. The game is scheduled to begin January 1st, 2008 in "real time" (set in the year 2008).

Ten Years Later...
It's been ten years since Voldemort's defeat and the ravages of the Third War, which left the Wizarding world battered, if not broken. During this time, the Ministry and its citizens have worked tirelessly to regain the semblance of normalcy and safety it once had. Unfortunately, that safety, like much of the world today, is being threatened by corruption, greed, crime and murder. Dark Wizards, criminals and murderers still plague the Wizarding world, but this time, there are no prophecies to draw it to an end. Aurors, Hit Wizards, Prosecutors, Ministry staff and the public at large try to work together to bring these corrupt individuals and organizations to justice.
The DMLE follows those touched by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement's Work: the Hit Wizards or Aurors that investigate crimes, the criminals that try to evade capture, the witnesses that help in investigations, the Prosecutors who try the offenders, and those who know and love people on both sides of that thin, grey line.
This is the state of the world, ten years later.
