I really should be grouchier than I am...but I'm not in that bad off a mood for whatever reason.
So first things first, I had an eye doctors appointment this morning at 10:30. It was a follow up on my new contact perscription. I wasn't sure if I had to actualy wear the contacts or not, so I decided not to (my eyes were still pretty tired and as my eyesight isn't 20/20 with them it doesn't make driving easy) but brought them along just in case. I didn't have to wait in the waiting room all that long and initialy took that to be a good sign. Well as I did need to have my contacts in the nurse told me to just put them in, she'd give me a few minutes to let them adjust and would come back.
.....................She forgot about me and I was waiting in the examination room for over an hour -_- It took me a while to get my contacts in as I don't wear them on a daily basis, and I decided to read a magazine while I waited and there wasn't a clock in the room so I didn't actualy realize how long I'd been waiting until the doctor came in and booted up his computer. He did appologize several times even though the wait wasn't his fault (he WAS looking for me but didn't realize I was there as the nurse never put my chart on the door since she never did the preliminary exam -_- ) so I was pleasant about it.
Next up, Blinn to sell back my gov't book from Summer I. For those of you who aren't familiar with most college bookstores, you typicaly sell the books back at one counter, and then take a receipt over to the register to get the money for them. Blinn only has one register open for cash back, and by the time I sold my book back, he was busy with a guy who wanted to return A PACK OF SCANTRONS (less than $2) and didn't seem to understand that the store couldn't take them back if they weren't on the receipt. So cue more waiting...thankfully it was only 10 or fifteen minutes.
Thankfully nothing major happened between getting home and heading to work (well, I had to make a detour by mom's office to get my hat out of her car, but that wasn't really a waste of time), and then the begining of work was alright...busier than we had been and I was working with several people I would have prefered not to (one I flat out disliked, one is the grouchy line worker I've come to deal with, and the other is the delco that has a communication problem with me...she's always misunderstanding me or I'm misunderstanding her and she has a tendency to treat me like a newbie who doesn't know what they're doing) but nothing too bad.
Well turns out we're getting part one of our changes to the deli in preperation for the new system (FINALY). Spencer told us before we left to clear off the Delco counter, but Rob told us to also clear out the cooler as well since they're connected and would probably be modified at the same time. So come 8:30ish I'm starting to get going on that on top of my regular duties and dealing with customers. I'm just about done when the guys doing the construction come in and we find out that they're doing an entirely seperate thing tonight...meaning I had to put everything back and then focus on taking all the things down in the area they WERE doing tonight. As such, I didn't leave the deli until 10:20 something. I'm so glad I'm on register tommorow so I'm not required to deal with it (although if Bryan is orders I'm going to be happier about it)
Oh...and this wasn't a time wasting thing but I made a mistake involving one of the to go orders tonight (which wasn't entirely my fault...the guy should have realized I WASN"T calling out his order especialy after I repeated it several times -_- ). I appologized several times to the woman and we even gave her a free extra slice of cheesecake to make up for the fact we had to remake her order. But she decided to give me this like....EVIL, DIRTY stare the entire time that she's waiting for it to be remade. It was kinda scary really ">>
*sighs* Ah well...even if I'm not in a grouchy mood I'm definately not in the mood for working on my room...which I really need to get done before Kirk gets here. There's piles of stuffy lying around due to the fact I'm not just cleaning, I'm going through and getting rid of stuff. It's pretty impressive too...despite my pack rat mentality I think I'm getting rid of (whether it be trashed or stashed for garage sales/etc) more stuff than I have been since I was a really little kid.
