Huricane Update:

I am in Dallas TX, safe with all my fotos and importiant computer files. Everything else is ready to be burried under a mound of rubble and water. We will see how it all works out.

Weather in Dallas is great! Also Mandy lives here so we are having a bit oc a concordia reunion....Me, Sara Burmingham, and Mandy. Fun times.

ooh gooooood... I missed this post when you originally did it. I tried calling you a couple times before the hurricane hit. I had hoped you made it out alright.

80% of New Orleans is flooded pretty deep... what are the odds that your place is in the 20% that didn't get it too bad? :/

I know you just moved there, but did you have your big artwork stuff there? Were you on a first floor apartment (house?). Just curious.

They say it'll be at least a month before power is back on in the city there, so do you think you'll be moving back home for a while? How are you handling the job situation now that the city was nearly wiped out?

Hope to hear from you soon, glad you're safe :)

Yeah I am coming home for a while. If I can find a car I will try to get to Ann Arbor. Yes, I have lost all my art, and yes i lived on the first floor. I left my car there, so that is gone, all i have is pictures, computer files, letters, and clothes to last me about 5 days.n But I feel way better off than most people. And my painting may still be salvagable. My drawings, which I loved are gone though.

As for work, I am starting to think it will be very difficult for the school to recover from this. We were already struggling, but now with our entire student body potentually homeless, our school flooded/destroyed, and a shaken up staff, who knows what will happen. In addition I have heard that there will be 9 more feet of water, and I am pretty sure that is where I live. I lived right on the lake. A couple days ago i was enjoying the beauty of that lake as I walked down the levy. So Yeah, it is a total loss for me.
