So it's been a while. Seems all I have to post on this here journal anymore are complaints and grievances. Why? Because this is the shit I can't say on facebook. It's all good now, though. I actually spoke to my Aunt Carol on the phone the other day. Yes, she was on vacation, for longer than I thought (3 weeks). Which means she didn't get the invitation until she got home a few days ago. And because she had no idea when the party was going to be had already made plans a month in advance for the day of the shower. Blah blah, whatevs.
She also filled me in on the fact that it seems most of her kids, my cousins, have other family functions to attend, mostly sports related. This doesn't surprise me, but would it have hurt to RSVP and say "No sorry can't make it" and, y'know, maybe inform Aunt Carol while she was on vacation "Oh hey! Got the baby shower invite for Stacey's baby. It's on this day, fyi." Because I know when my SIL sent them was while Carol was on vacation. But, whatever... Common decency? Communication? My family does not have.
