This evening, I was sitting at the table, going over some paperwork when my cell phone rang. I didn't recognise the number and the area code is quite a distance, out of state. But I have a couple of friends who are on the road, and I thought that it might be one of them, stuck somewhere, maybe needing help.
I answer it and on the other end a woman sounds harried, but asks me if this is the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Huh? I start to think that maybe a someone is playing a joke on me. It's no secret that I love thrift shopping, and perhaps the joker was implying that my house was like the Salvation Army (they wouldn't be too far off in their assumptions). When I firmly stated that it wasn't, she grunted and hung up.
Intrigued, I decided to google her number, and nothing showed up. Then I cross referenced it with my list of furniture customers. Still nothing. Then I google my own phone number with the phrase Salvation Army.
Guess what? The Sally Ann (in another state) and I have the same phone number.
Quite the coincidence, isn't it?
