Hooray for good weekends! I must say, this one totally rocked my socks. We all had great time on Thursday, running around campus randomly, walking up the Climbing Tree, running through the fields by MLK and eventually ending up by the infamous duck pond. Those guys are crazy! Kate and I went to pet 2 ducks that were sitting on the bridge, which was cool, since I've never touched a duck before. However, her duck didn't seem to like it too much and pooped, missing her foot by mere inches. "OMG the duck SHAT on me!!!!" She screamed loudly enough for everyone to hear on the other side of the lake. lol... We finally made our way to Andros to load up on some food pre-hookah, which I finally convinced Russ to go to after much cojoling. Turns out he loves the stuff, go figure. He got very much high off of it, giggling and running over to talk to everyone with a doped up look on his face. Oy vey, I've created a monster!
Saturday I hightailed it to Orlando for our Valentine's Day weekend. hehe! On Saturday we went to one of our favorite places, Lake Eola. We ate at what used to be 903 Cityside but it has since changed management and now the food sucks. :( And then we went on the swan boats!!! It was so awesome, I'd never been in them before and I'd always wanted to. The real swans actually came right up to our boat and one freaking tried to eat me. It was such a nice day on the lake, kinda wish I had still had a canoe. Saturday night we chilled at Russ's house with Judy and some other people from Edgewater and I found out my new favorite drink: vodka and V8 splash. You can't even taste the vodka which is probably why I ended up tipsy so easily. =P
Sunday was a verrrry good day! We went to the Melting Pot for dinner, which was absolutely fantastic. I hadn't been there in 3 years and Russ had never even gone before. Its really nice and a great experience, but so expensive! It was very special though. We went very stereotypical date and went to a movie afterwards, The Messengers. Scary enough to cling to my baby, but not enough to give me nightmares, so whoot!
And now, I'm sitting at work, deviously planning out next weekend's festivities. You guys are gonna love it!
