From the full ELLE article:

"It was hard not to be a lady cougar around him,” says costar Leslie Mann, his older object of desire. “One day during rehearsals, I was leaving, and Zac said, ‘What’s your phone number so I can call your daughter on her birthday.’ I gave it to him, and he turned to the director and said, ‘See, I told you I would get it.’ ” She laughs. “He’s such a woman’s fantasy, especially for someone with an Oedipus complex."

The full Leo quote is even better. The entire interview is awesome. It even has quotes from Linklater.

It totally sounds like HS2 stands and falls with Zac's participation.

The fact that Waters is begging Zac to read the treatment and is trying to sell it so hard to him, tells me that Zac is at least hesitant imo.

He hasn't said outright no but he didn't say he wants to do it either. Thinking an idea is rad and committing to a movie are two different things.

I hope someone beat some sense into him and he doesn't go on and makes the 6th musical out of 8 movies - no matter which musical. It's bad enough that he seemed to have committed to Footloose which I also wanted him to stay away from (and still hope he does somehow).

As much as I adore JW I think Zac will listen more to what Adam has to say about where the script is going. The treatment was pretty far out there, and I wasn't a huge fan of it, but once we got the interviews with Adam talking about how they were changing things and such in the actual script/storyline I felt alot better ( ... )

The waitress approaches to clear the table. From the flush of her cheeks, she’s clearly a member of the Zac Pack. “By the way,” Efron says, about to make her day, “you have the most gorgeous eyes. Awesome.” He is being completely sincere.
That's the part I meant..
