I think I'm super alone in this that I love love LOVE his hair like this and would be immensely thrilled if he let it grow longer. It's almost like a game at this point.
Now that I've calmed down about it, I don't mind it too much either. LOL. I think it was my gut instinct to react so violently. And it was at least partially because I knew the ONTD peeps would be like 'mesbian'.
I am curious too how long it could go. I've always felt he has a pretty good ability to take on different looks, which is good for an actor. But I've never been so sure about how well his hair could change. It worked for Hairspray but almost every other role it has just been his hair. So, I'm sort of wondering where he'll go with this.
Oh, believe me I got 'wtf, NO!' kind of texts over these and thought something bad had happened. :/
I like your reasoning on the hair. It shows a depth in range to alter your looks, even if it is just hair- do you know how many people are attached to their hair (me being one, I stare down my beautician in the mirror even when it's just a simple trim)? I was not having the idea of Ryan Gosling growing his hair out/gaining weight/having a beard for The Notebook until I saw the movie and had a thunder bolt clap kind of epiphany that 'It all makes sense now. Proceed.'
Zac has that je ne sais quoi in him to change his physical appearance to where it fits in only a way he could make work for a role.
my own hair as long as it stay long enough i don't care. i'll grow it out for months and then just be like take eight inches off. they look at me like i'm crazy (and cheap).
yes, zef astounds me with his ability to look different with only very subtle changes. i think that is very promising. i think truly one of the best actors ever is gary oldman who is such a chameleon it amazes me.
