This is why Zac Efron has been placed on Earth - to test and strengthen our patience. A new movie opening every 3-4 months, as now, is much better than a new movie every 12-18 months, as we suffered not too long ago. New Zac flicks that don't play in a single theater in my state are an additional trial, since I have to wait for the DVD. I have learned commitment and endurance. The next Zac movie will open when it opens. I will be there. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Man, I had gotten used to my daily dose of Efron, but he's gone back into hiding again. He's like a drug dealer who gives me a steady supply and when I'm hooked leaves town for a couple of months. Then he comes back and we do the whole thing over again.

Big Meanie (crosses arms and pouts because I'm overworked, tired, and sad. Zac's a tease.

Got to agree. Eight days with nothing new. Tired of reviewing his tummy hair and porn stache. Need fresh Zac.

Zac is ranked #93 on Vulture's 100 Most Valuable Movie Stars of 2013 list. His Studio Value is measured 6 out of 10, and his Tabloid Value is 8 out of 10. His Likeability is 39%. Compared to last year, Zac's overall rank got lower this year, but he scored better in other departments. (In 2012, his rank was #87, Studio Value 5, Tabloid Value 7, Likeability 38 ( ... )

"THE IDLE IDOL"

A little silly. They don't even mention At Any Price or Parkland.

But they're right about the adult audience. Don't know who he is, or don't care for him if they do.

Well, if Zac wants to grow an adult audience, he's going to have to put on his big-boy pants and start acting like one. It's time to put the Peter Pan suit away and mentally mature.

He should start taking interest in things that don't involve bungee jumping off bridges or playing video games. Cultivating his mind through reading, watching the news, volunteering his time for a charity - all of these things connote adulthood. Whether people like her or not virtually everyone (even my uber conservative, religious parents) give Angelina Jolie ups for all her charity work and financial giving.

He can still be a boy in private - buy a mountain bike and ride trails, sky-dive out of helicopters -whatever - but he needs to have an adult side as well. Then older people are apt to take him seriously.

Another solution, which I should have mentioned, is to just wait and grow older. He will become more adult each day. In five or eight years, he will be able to play many roles not yet available to him, simply because he is 26 and looks it. These days, he has to play rom-com and single-dude roles because that's what he's credible in. Later, things will be different. So I would recommend, be 26 now, and be 35 when you get there.

Former President George H. W. Bush made his first jump from a plane when he was 80, so there's still time for a little horsing around.
