i see weird things
every time i think "nah, i won't take my camera today" i see the strangest sights. today i took a three mile+ walk around the resevoir and ash street and the entire length of wellesley street. anyway, not the point. as i walk out of the woods onto ash st, i see this SUV parked at the paths entryway. a pink SUV. bubble gum, sparkly nail polish, baby pink. on a Nissan pathfinder? so i thought that was strange anyway, but then as i walk closer, i realize that there is something on the car. and when i got up close, i wasn't sure if someone had played a cruel joke on a friend, or if some lunatic had actually done that to their vehicle.
the car was covered in jewels. craft jewels. enormous craft jewels, the kind kids hot glue to a sweatshirt and then write "grandma" on it in puff paint and give it to said grandma for christmas. it was truly the most bizarre car i have ever seen. i walked around it once, staring open mouthed at how someone could utterly destroy the value of their car and be able to drive it around in public. i'm not saying it wasn't fun, it was a fun happy car, but can you imagine seeing that thing drive down the mass pike? seriously, what is wrong with people?
