so i am alive. and i was going to talk about going to Cordoba last weekend or going to Carnaval on the beach this weekend, but then i read this article. and frankly i like it. too bad france and germany don't recognize the same thing

it is a very good article. while i believe it does a good job of adressing the fundamental issue of 9/11. innocent people were killed. and the perpatrators by no means should just be able to go on with their lives. however i worry that there are constantly these connections made between iraq and 9/11. the terrorists were not from iraq and sudham is not osama. in fact i think they hate each other. one is a religous extremist and the other a complete secularist. i think its very dangerous that we keep these two issues so closely related. it just makes it that much easier for war to seem justified in this case. everyones just like "nuke em!" but do they really have any clue!!! we choose iraq rather than any other country cause they are poor. north korea has fucking nuclear weapons and we certainly were going to go in that direction. oil is the issue not terrorists. we have been bombing iraq for years and now people love it. its just so sad that so much of our country and other countries can be so jaded and ignorant. These two issues have become one and they should be completely seperate from each other. but anyway i wont preach anymore. and it is true how could you really be so selfish and self loathing and not remember the children that lost their parents and young couples that were torn apart. and it is a shame that so many other countries were too stuck up in hating the US to care about not just americans but innocent human beings who had their lives stolen from them.

ok homework and packing time. i leave tomorrow. so excited...except for the snow im probablly going to hit on the way.

where are you going?! and yeah, obviously the war is a huge farse. mostly i liked his point of view that the entirety of europe owes the US government it's lives and well being, and who are the first two countries to NEVER support us?? france and germany. (on the otherhand, this time they are right)

yeah i do agree with that whole part too. it just blows my mind how many people probablly think the terrorists were from iraq and thats why we are going to war... but anyway totally agree! its sad. but i am going home for spring break! yay. talk to everyone when i get back.
