Thanks to the power of a petrol strimmer, it does appear we have a garden!

Hurrah! D'you want some plants to put in it, too?

I have a few spare... :)

Not just yet as it still needs more work.

Plan "We can have a BBQ" might be possible at some point though :P

Still needs more work but we need to let the buddleia we hacked apart shrivel up somewhat so we can bag it and tip it along with the grass to mulch done a touch so we can see what still needs doing. Plan is to continue next weekend (as I am on late shift all week).

As a side note, if people want to borrow a petrol strimmer that makes short work of cutting a lawn, rental for a the price of a few beers can probably be arranged :)

I bought a strimmer from B&Q 2 years ago. I managed to break it in the first 10 minutes of use, the engine overcooked and ate the flex.

The one we bought is technically a brush cutter and thus can be fitted either with flex or a metal cutting disc thing. The latter was used for the most part.

As a note, assuming it was a 2-stroke engine, did you put 2-stroke oil into the petrol to act as a lubricant? If you didn't, it would end up killing itself.
