McKinney Today

We launched McKinney Today last night, the online version of the new McKinney, Texas paper, along with McKinney Live! an online community forum for the people of McKinney. In a city this size, they have several forums already, most of which either suck, or are so heavily moderated that almost nothing gets published. Using the same model of success we've had with the Anna Texas Community Forum we feel we may be able to provide exactly what this city needs in what drax0r and I consider our "Second Home" as we've both worked here for the better part of a decade.

There's a lot that goes into publishing a paper. There's also a lot that goes into publishing an online paper, even when the content has already been written. drax0r and I make it look easy on the surface, but we've been working together on projects for 10-years now, and what the public doesn't see is the untold amount of time to get everything in place. Thankfully, we're at the point now where we can turn over content management to the publisher and his staff, having successfully built a seamless infrastructure.

Of course our wives are ready to start divorce proceedings against us, and we're so hopped up on MONSTER ENERGY we might not notice until we're standing in the swirling remains of our own demise...unless this great expenditure of creativity and energy bears fruit. Only time will tell, and that's a poor answer to a spousal unit. I think women would make poor investors. Unless things don't pan out, then they could say the same thing about us :/

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank glodowg for her part in this adventure as well as both cattitude and jesskd26 for their seemingly unending supply of begrudged support as we stand on the precipice of the future!
