Raw

I'm a sedentary man. I don't play sports, I don't run for fun; my hobbies require no physical exertion. I sit in my car I sit at work and I sit at home. I do a lot of sitting. And my time off this past holiday season was a wonderful, much needed rest. I got to shift my mind into neutral and I did more than sit. I lounged. I was aggressively ( Read more... )

Your last post went over like a bucket of cold vomit. Now all you're eating is cold, uncooked foods. OTP!!!

If you don't enjoy his post why do you bother reading them?

Stop using my phrases on me. I stole that one from somebritinmass and don't use them on him, else he'd think I was stupid. Go use them on someone else to appear witty.

Yes, as stated above.

OTP!!!
I don't understand the context in which you are using this.

Last things first: It was funny. Mr would have definitely caught. Bax would have choked at me NOT knowing why it was inappropriate. I find it humorous that you took the time to think up the gag. I can appreciate the humor - even though I did not get it. I love you just the way you are! (you are supposed say "ditto" here!)

and First Things Last:
I always crave raw food after over indulgence in the good stuff. I can eat anything on a salad that grows in a garden. I prefer all my veggies that way. Now if I could just get MR to quit cooking!!! .... oh wait - what am I saying?!?!?!?!?

Congrats on the mild exercise. Can you please tell me how you got so motivated?

Happy New Year!!!!

Now you're just mocking me.

And that's called laughing *at* me.

I can appreciate the humor -
Thank you.

You and I both! I dislike them boiled or steamed. Although, I'll eat them grilled or stir-fried.

Can you please tell me how you got so motivated?
It must've been the end-cycle of my layabout. BAM!

I would not do that! Would I?

And that's called laughing *at* me.
hmmmm never thought of it that way. I guess I was laughing at your ability to make a geeky joke.

It must've been the end-cycle of my layabout. BAM!
Where can I get a copy of that code?

You would. As would I, you. Its in our nature.

I guess I was laughing at your ability to make a geeky joke.
Now *that's* respect! Thank you, ma'am.

Where can I get a copy of that code?
Isn't it obvious? You did too much during your time off. Maybe next year.

Congrats on your renewed spirit! Someone once told me not all change is bad. Can't exactly remember who it was though. :)

Good luck on eating mostly raw - not sure I could do it. I know catttitude has been wanting to do that for quite awhile now. You'll definitely be "cleansed"!

Thank you ma'am. There's been quite a bit of change lately, and I'm still trying to keep up with it all. Internal change, mind you - new way of looking at things. Only time will tell the long-term effects of this.

Good luck on eating mostly raw -
Just felt like the thing to do. I didn't really plan it, but it sure took my wife by surprise!

I thought the previous post was funny, but of course I meet all of the bulleted items.

Raw. Kind of like the Egyptian sun god Ra. Eat that which was cooked only by the sun.
Rah! Rah! Rah! Shish Keba...b! You go Raw!

Now that is not funny!

At work we have a cafeteria. I can get a bacon double cheeseburger with two pounds of sliced tomato, lettuce, pickles and onion on it, and fries for $3.99. The modest salad I put together weighed in at over six dollars. Tomorrow, I'm going to get a burger. Hold the meat, hold the bun, hold the bacon, hold the cheese.

Heh, Texas. Where cows grow faster than lettuce ;-P

Just kidding. Although that thought scares me terribly. I couldn't exist without eating rough greens on a daily basis. And being on a Vitamin-K restricted diet this past Month has been HELL

We're spending this weekend with my father and he's grilling Angus burgers. I'll take a two day hiatus on my raw diet.

Sorry to hear about your restrictions. Even when I'm not eating raw I put baby spinach in everything.

Can you eat quinoa?

Yes, Quinoa was allowed. Anything that didn't contain vitamin-k, really. Which is a lot of good stuff, but I'm so accustomed to eating a nice plate of kale and romaine topped with cucumber, broccoli and other leafy greens daily, it was a difficult change. mm, salad.

Vitamin K snapper521 January 11 2008, 03:12:36 UTC
Hello Mr. Person I've never talked to before... :-)

I realize this will have no bearing on anything within your life, however I find it rather interesting that you aren't allowed to eat things with V-K in it... yet my body requires that I consume a minimum of 20mg vitamin-K and about 6x/30c Phosphorous per day or I get bloody noses.

It's a hereditary trait to get bloody noses frequently, my sister has it and my grandfather had it, however we didn't know what we know now about how to control the bloody noses when he was alive so he had them quite often.

I didn't either until I got into the natural remedies and homeopathy. Anyway...

I am curious. Why are you on a V-K restricted diet??
