Agggh, so everyone's done this and I loved catching up with everyone. So I feel I should do this as well considering how MIA that I've been the last year especially from LJ posting. ( 2010 year in review )
getting up at 5:30 AM to go swimming 3 times a week before work and 7:00 AM on Saturday That's... wow, very impressive. No one would get me out of bed at such a time.
Would you recommend the Hunger Games? I've been seeing it mentioned left and right.
Oh, definitely read it! The writing isn't the greatest but the story is interesting and it's kinda hard to put it down wanting to know what happens. Hunger Games is definitely my favorite book of the entire trilogy though.
They've already got it set to be made into a movie so best to read the book know before it gets hyped to death.
And thank you! I was pretty proud of myself. Unsurprising, I'm back to my lazy ways though. Old habits die hard!
Lol, I was totally skeptical of the whole thing, even though a lot of my friends were raving about it--I thought it still sounded like a rather stupid and boring plot, reading about a game in which people have to kill each other, but then I tried it in the store on this past Monday evening and before I knew it I was 40 pages in and decided I needed to buy it, and then I finished it within a day--it was gripping enough that I totally lost interest in the internet until I finished, which is something! ;)
Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one who still hadn't posted a year in review meme yet for 2010, lol! (I figure as long as I get mine done before January it's still okay...:p)
The US is a big place, you can drive pretty far without leaving it.
Lol, the Winchester mantra, kind of...:p
Too hard to pick. I'll take the easy route and say Hunger Games was a gripping read.Oh god, tell me about it, lol! I started reading the first one out of curiosity at the bookstore, decided I had to buy it after getting 40 pages into it so quickly, lol, and then finished it pretty much within 24 hours even with work, which is pretty fast for me. As soon as I finished it I went back to the bookstore and bought the next one, which also I have almost finished within 24 hours of buying it (have maybe 30 pages left). It feels so good to find a book so addicting that it pulls me off the internet for a few days! :) I think this will definitely make my list for fave book next year, or a honorable mention...I wish I had read it over the holidays in the US to

A movie, too... it feels like every popular book (swries) needs to be turned into a movie these days. I don't know how I feel abvout that.
