My step was lively. My brain overflowing with ideas. My nerves were rapidly firing. I felt amazing. And then Ashley brought it all crashing down. She told me I had cake, and that that wasn't too exciting.
The real story involves work and how I've been going stir-crazy, but I like her metaphor for the situation much better.
1) I really really really wanted cake.
2) I asked for some cake.
3) I was given said cake.
4) I got really excited about the cake.
5) People really didn't give a shit when I told them my cake story.
Still, much excitement on my end. CAKE!
Other than that, not much to report. I've learned that squirrel bacon may be one of the best kinds of bacon available and that Germans are horrible following the rules of the road when it comes to bicycling. Carrots aren't really a big food in Japan (most children there hate it) but this vegetable's presence can be quite prevalent in "Japanese" food. Meanwhile, the crystallized head of a shrimp is actually quite tasty, but be careful, as the eyes are black and beady and always watching. Orange tabby cats all over are gaining tolerance for smoky gray cats; much play can be noted. The updating of content on some websites is not as often or as high of quality as I might like. But I digress.
I received a planner when I started school 5 weeks ago and have yet to use it, but it is my thought that I probably should, as I am no longer quite sure of what day it is. For the past week(s?) I have felt like time is slipping between my fingers worse than ever before. I keep making plans without ever knowing whether or not they conflict with previous engagements. I've been lucky so far. Time to utilize planner? Or should the bills get paid?
If I don't sound crazy, you haven't been paying attention.
