So there was a total change of plans like an hour before my dad and I
left and so we went to Charleston, South Carolina. Got there around 10
(we didn't leave until like 3 which made me mad because I could have
slept in and I was rather enjoying myself in Athens), went straight to
bed. Got up around 6:30, ate breakfast and my dad worked on his
computer for a littl while until we left to see the airport and call
contacts. I sat in the car most of the time until we went in the
airport when I sat in there. I wanted to call someone because I was SO
BORED but my stupid cell phone was roaming. After that we went to our
hotel, changed and headed to downtown Charleston. I have decided that
this is where I want to live when I grow up. Sometime or another, I
would LOVE to live there. There was a music festival going on down
there (it had just ended for the day when we got there around noon) but
there were people everywhere. Dad and I walked down to the boardwalk
and through a park...it was fantastic. Really calming and nice to be
away from everything in my life and not worrying about college. Then we
drove around and looked at all the old houses. It was awesome.
We decided to drive across the bridge and go look at the USS Yorktown
which is this old Aircraft Carrier from some war. It was actually
pretty neat. I really enjoyed looking at all the stuff on it and
getting a small feel for how life would feel in that environment. I
also really enjoyed seeing all the old planes and hellicopters on the
deck. It was really neat.
Augusta was boring and I will spare you from my disgust of a really horribly planned wedding.
I had a lot of fun and my dad had some really nice conversations.
Anyone want to road trip to Charleston sometime in the next three weeks
or one weekend this Summer?
I'm supposed to go do something tonight, but like all times before I'm
sure it won't happen so I think I'm going to stop trying. I'm tired of
people dicking with my head. I need to forget and leave the f'ing past
in the past, but I'm having a hard time with that.
