Yesterday my mom and I went down to Pine Mountain to go to Callaway Gardens. It was the best day I've had in a long time. We walked on the very disappointing azeala trail, even though it sucked we just kind chilled there because it was by a lake and really pretty. When I had had enough, we went over to the butterfly house. I love that place. They just reopened it so there weren't a bajillion butterflies, but it was so cool to look at the butterflies and the plants and everything. We sat in there for awhile and just looked at all the stuff. Mom was like, obsessed with a parrot. Then we proceeded to eat lunch out by the lake. It was nice outside and I know my mom enjoyed not having to be home and thinking about all the stuff she has to deal with. Then, we drove to the Wild Animal Saffari. Oh my God. That was the scariest thing of life. Its this place where you drive through and all these animals come up to your car and you feed them. My mom and I rented a van and we drove through and at first it was chill and there were all these deer type things. Then we get to the Zebras and Giraffes. So my mom pulls over so she can feed the giraffe and all the Zebras are on my side of the car. The van that we are in has no windows at all so you can't make things go away. There was this hybrid donkey/zebra called a "Zedonk" (no lie, kinda like a liger) and he stuck his head all the way into my window and opened his mouth, then another zebra stuck its head in and tried to eat the food out of my lap and then another zebra stuck its head in my window. My mom's chillin' feeding the giraffes and I can't see anything and I can't move and there are zebras and hybrid donkey/zebras in my face and I have NO WHERE to go so I start sqealing and I'm like 'MOM! GO!' and she can't get the giraffe out of her window. So I start laughing and crying at the same time and I'm like about to pee in my pant. Oh My God, it was the scariest thing of life. And that was just the beginning. It took an hour to go through the whole thing...
But my mom and I had a lot of fun. It was a good day away from home and stuff for her. I'm glad we went.
