Note: So, I got my ass in gear. Praise me.
Bill came home, and while he wasn't drunk per se, he was a touch unsteady. It was just that he and Lupin lost track of time.
He was late. He was in trouble. And he knew it.
Tonks had been waiting for hours, given that they'd planned to spend the evening together, after he stopped off to visit with Remus a bit. She knew most likely the two had lost track of time, but it hurt that she had been so easily forgotten, which then made her angry. Her post in the library where she'd been waiting patiently had been abandoned hours ago and she'd retreated to her rooms deciding he could come looking for her when he finally turned up.
She had a good book or three to entertain her, after all. It was a bit of a haunting reminder of their previous relationship, and every time she let herself think on it, she got more upset.
Bill at least had the good sense to look apologetic when he came in. He smelled of whiskey, sighing slightly.
"... you should have gone to bed. I mean... um... I didn't think Lupin would keep talking, but he and Harry are having a tiff..." The words spilled out quickly. He didn't want her to be sore with him overmuch. Not now.
Tonks looked at him over the top of her book, eyebrow raised, before ignoring him and going back to her reading, casually turning her page. Harry and Remus could bite her, for all she cared, with their ridiculous situations. She didn't get a lot of time off and she was upset.
She did, however, pull her knees up and make room for him on the sofa.
Bill sighed, kneeling down in front of her instead of sitting down. He didn't feel like he should just cuddle up an pretend everything was all right.
"Nymph, I'm sorry. I'll do anything to make up to you, all right? I wanted to get home too, I didn't want to be there, wanted be home with you." He nuzzled her leg, taking in her scent. Missed that a lot.
While part of her really thought it would be fun to ignore him, another decided it would be better to make him beg a bit. After all, if she stayed too angry, she'd go to bed alone, and Tonks didn't much like that thought.
So she put her book down and looked at him. "Floo not working then? Couldn't call?"
Bill looked up at her with imploring eyes. Shit.
"They aren't connected by floo, and I didn't realize how late it was. Believe me, when I saw how it was I got straight home, I wanted to spend time with you tonight." He hazarded taking her hand, pressing a kiss to her palm.
"I love you."
"Maybe you need to invest in a watch?" she suggested, not showing any sign on the exterior of weakening in the least. "Learn to tell time? Most of us learn that in early childhood. It's late, and I have to be up early to report in. I thought we had plans to spend time together?"
Tonks wasn't about to admit she'd forgiven him already, with his declaration of love.
Bill sat back, not sure if he was going to be spending a night on the sofa. He was a picture of submission, shoulders slumped, eyes lowered.
He was really begging for it.
"I'll do anything to apologize, Tonks. Anything."
"Really?" Her eyebrow arched back up at his offer. That held a great deal of potential for fun. He had her full attention now.
"I'm quite put out with you, Weasley. I had all kinds of lovely plans for an evening spent first in my shower, and then in front of the fireplace, and then in my bed. How are you going to make that up to me?"
He caught something in her voice that told him she was hoping for him to repay her.
Quite well.
Things were looking up indeed, really. "I don't know how I could make that up to you." He raised his eyes to her, mournful and large. "I'll do anything you want me to, Nymphadora." As always, her name sounded like a prayer.
"I don't know, Bill, I'm quite angry with you." Although she really liked the fact that he was kneeling at her feet. "I'm not sure I could be terribly nice to you tonight."
Bill lowered his head, kissing along her feet, pressing kisses to the insides of her ankles. "I don't deserve to be treated well after what I did to you..."
"True enough," she agreed casually, before standing. "All right then, we'll see how well you can behave. Follow me."
Tonks led the way to her bathroom, dropping clothes behind her on the way. She wanted a shower, and was going to have it. Looking over her shoulder at him, she grinned.
"Take your clothes off. I have a job for you."
Bill obeyed, already half-hard just at the way she was treating him. It was arousing to have her utterly in control.
"Of course," he murmured, standing ready and naked in front of her.
Tonks ignored him, or at least appeared to, starting the shower instead and stepping inside. Summoning him with a hand, she gestured him in with her. Tossing him a washcloth and the soap, she gave him his orders.
"Wash me."
Bill made a point to not touch himself or take liberties with her either. He washed her gently, lovingly, making sure that every bit of her skin glowed.
All right, he did cop a feel or two on her breasts, and he was actually impressed that he only slide his fingers inside of her once.
Tonks let him slide with her breasts, but scolded him firmly when he went too far, reminding him that he was being punished, after all. It wouldn't do having him think he could just get away with anything. Ordering him to the back of the stall, she rinsed off, and then washed her hair, ignoring him, which was extremely difficult.
Bill sat, his hands at his sides. It was a little too tempting to stroke himself, watching the water slide off her body like that.
But he didn't. Which he really hoped he'd be thanked for in a bit.
Finally Tonks shut the water off, bending over to wring out her hair. Straightening, she looked at him. Poor love, being so very good.
"Don't just stand there, grab a towel and dry me off." She wanted to move them to the bed, as soon as possible, really.
Bill behaved himself utterly with the towel. He could barely handle himself as it was.
Her neck glistened, and for a moment he buried his face against her shoulder, breathing in her scent.
Tonks smiled at his behavior, moving away from him when he was done and she was dry. Telling him to dry himself off as well, she wandered out to her bed. A few quick waves of her wand brought the fire up again and lit more candles in the room. Dropping it on the bedside table she climbed up onto the bed to wait for him.
Bill hurriedly dried himself off, then stood by the side of the bed, his hair around his shoulders still damp.
He was amazed how well his self control was working right about now.
Crooking a finger, Tonks summoned him onto the bed, leaning back against the pillows and resting her hands on her knees. When he came near her, she spread her thighs, reached out and grasped the back of his head gently, and directed him between them.
Slowly, Bill made a point of not teasing but instead lavishing soft, gentle kisses all along her center. He let his tongue dive lower, tasting her as his fingers played with her clit, nuzzling every bit of her.
She was so amazingly sweet, and he couldn't get enough.
Tonks couldn't hold out against him anymore, and she fell back against the pillows, moaning softly in appreciation of his effort. His mouth was hot on her, and so gentle at the same time. Giving in, she surrendered to his touch and simply enjoyed it.
Her hips rocked gently against his mouth as her fingers stroked through his hair, petting him lovingly.
Bill just smiled, putting every bit of his effort foward to bring her climax to her. After all, he did owe her an apology.
It wasn't long before she came for him, fingers tangled in his hair and calling out his name while her hips thrust up against his face. It was beautiful and gentle, a contrast to their more regular sexual aggression.
As her breathing calmed, she tugged him upwards.
Bill moved up her body slowly, kissing here, nibbling there, all the while telling her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her.
"I'm sorry," he murmured against her ear, holding her close. "I should have called."
She smiled against his shoulder, fingers tracing over his back. "I missed you, terribly. Was worried, too. It's dangerous out there right now."
"You're not kidding," Bill murmured, his own fingers tracing patterns on her stomach. "You weren't there when they started bloody throwing things."
He kissed her lips gently. "Still, I'm sorry."
"You'll just have to make it up to me, love." She smiled at him and caught his lower lip between her teeth, sucking on it gently before releasing it. "Remind me why I bothered to wait up at all."
Bill pulled them to a sitting position, taking her on his lap. "Do I have your permission then?"
"Yes, I think you do," she replied.
Bill moved her hips onto his, sliding gently into her, groaning with need. "Good," he murmurs, kissing her neck, holding her tightly around her waist.
"Much better," she told him softly, feeling him stretch and open her as he slid inside. "I'm glad you came home, after all."
Bill nuzzled her cheek, closing his eyes and just feeling. "I'm glad," he murmured back with a grin, slowly moving inside of her.
This was divine, she thought, as he moved in her. Resting her head on his shoulder she let him do the work, enjoying every bit of the sensations he was causing in her body.
"I love you," she whispered against his shoulder.
He quietly murmured the same to her, slowly moving her above him with very gentle but deliberate thrusts.
"Love you more than anything..."
Her fingers dug into his back as she moved closer to her peak with every thrust, squeezing and releasing. Turning her head, she bit the side of his neck lightly, before moving down his shoulder as she began to tremble against him.
Bill knew he wouldn't last too long, the build up had been too intense. He let his fingers stretch inside of her, using his fingers to double the penetration, all the while leaving marks of his own on her neck.
"Come for me, Nymph..." It was the first demand he had made all night.
Her teeth latched firmly into his shoulder when he added fingers and then released as her head fell back and she cried out, pleasure washing over her. Tonks called out his name as she went, nails digging into his skin as she shook and panted.
Bill arched hard against her, his eyes closing as he held her tight without saying a word. He needed to hold her tight. To forget everything for awhile.
He was quickly starting to live for these moments.
Tonks kept her face pressed against his neck, not wanting him to see all the emotions running across her face. She was still so insecure in all of this, not used to being loved by anyone, for years. When he hadn't shown up, she'd felt so alone, all over again. She never wanted to go back to that.
Bill stroked her back, keeping his eyes closed as he held her against him. He knew she was feeling intense emotions right now; he'd be a fool not to feel her shaking. He felt such guilt for coming home late, he was just grateful to sleep next to her tonight.
"... we should run away for a weekend. Just you and me."
She froze at that, startled. Go somewhere, together? Before she could stop herself, she had pulled back and was looking at him, face full of surprise.
"Really?"
