Half hour. Go.
Taking a break from homework so I can get this done.
Day was good; Arabic was fun, and I didn't do quite as badly on the test as I thought I did, thank goodness. And I have a feeling most of us spelled the verb for "I eat" incorrectly anyway. I love that class. And my professor is just so adorable when he gets excited.
Anthropology was alright; we've started reading the biography of a !Kung woman named Nisa. I already knew alot of the information about the !Kung from last semester's readings, so it felt repetitive, but it was an interesting read. I think I found something I want to do in anthropology. I want to learn people's life stories, not just their culture; I imagine people each experience their own culture differently. Maybe I've found some way to direct my work? I like it. It's informative and incredibly personal and personable at the same time; admittedly there are contradictions between Shostak's accounts and Nisa's, but it's still fascinating.
Today was hazy as hell; I felt like I was in a fog the whole day except Arabic class. I slept for hours even though I got a decent sleep the night before; I was just so tired and sore today. It was nuts. And I had the weirdest dreams. After Arabic I napped and had a nightmare about bees in my house; I woke up and started running around my room because I thought there were bees in it. It was the buzzing of my television recording "Supernatural." And then later after anthropology I had weird dreams about video games and monsters and supermarkets and hotels. It was bizarre.
Anyway, back to the grind. Maybe I'll look up what bees mean in dreams.
