Something that I have been ignoring...
My puppy (not really a puppy) was put down the other day (it's been a pretty crappy year). We had gotten her when I was five so I was very much so in love. Today I finally got around to reading my younger sister's blog and she put this better than I ever could. For everyone who I have ever had to say good-bye to this last year or so.
THE TIME TO SAY GOOD-BYE
There was nothing left to say,
No more tears to cry,
All that was left to do
Was say good-bye,
It was the hardest thing I ever had to do
And thats no lie,
Because i was trying to hold on to you,
I tried to keep you from slipping away ,
But no matter how hard i tried
I just couldn't make you stay,
And becasue of it
You are no longer by my side,
But my time with you was great
Because it was like my favorite roller coaster ride,
With many ups and downs,
And the occasional side to side,
But now your lost to sea
Swept away by the tide,
And even though there was nothing left to say,
And no more tears to cry,
I couldn't tell you how much i loved you,
And because of that
All you heard was this pitiful good-bye
