Damn it all!

Ironic that laitaine should mention the trials involved in getting one's hair to look oh-so-Frodo-y. I managed to achieve a certain degree of hobbitness when I took out my braids this afternoon...hooray! I was so excited that I had to show someone, so I tried my mum but she ignored me. What does she know anyway. Lucky her that has the natural hobbity locks ( Read more... )

Lucky her that has the natural hobbity locks. Lucky dad too, come to think of it. Where the hell did I get this stupid straight hair from?! Dammit.

I am so glad I got rid of mine, nice and straight... You should be thatnkful my hair used to be a pain in the ass, well every one hates their own hair don't they! I have straight hair now thank goodness but I still always have it up! Dad dearest suggested having braids again....no way jose! I said.

Dad dearest suggested having braids again....no way jose! I said. - really? lol. I actually like keeping mine in braids or cornrows, but it's more a question of practicality than fashion; the weather here is so hot and humid sometimes that having your hair down, or even in a ponytail can be a real pain in the butt.

aah over here we call cornrows cainrow, just thought I'd put that in... Yeah I know whaere your comming from. Not that it's at all hot over in the UK at the momen..HELL NO, I have a big wolly jumper on and I'm still quite cold!
But my hair, since I had my plats out has been mostly tied back because it was just too warm around my neck and ears...I never understand why though, cause since I had it permed, there seems to be LESS hair.

Oh cool, we call them cainrows too. I just chucked that in for the benefit of my American friends. Not suprising though, I think Trinidad and Tobago retained a lot of British customs and stuff even after we gained independence from England.

I have a big wolly jumper on and I'm still quite cold! - aw, poor you! I'd love to trade right about now...it's a sweltering 31 degrees and rising here.

...there seems to be LESS hair - lol. I think my brother asked me "why bother to have long hair if you're never going to wear it loose?". He's never had long hair so he doesn't know just how hot it can get having it down your neck.

nay, you're not psycho...

well, maybe you are, but i am too! =P it's funny how people want exactly what they don't have all the time. my hair is mostly straight, but the ends are curly- it just can't make up it's mind! i swear, it does have a mind of it's own... :smirk:
