LotR, Sno-Caps and the Graphics Card of Doom

Oh my God, has it really been fifteen weeks since I’ve last updated? I’m so sorry about that. It wasn't intentional, I assure you. I haven’t really been able to use my computer for the last few months because something’s always going wrong with it, but I’ve just installed a spanking new motherboard and revamped almost the entire system, so hopefully there’ll be no more problems leading to lengthy lulls between entries as before.

What’s happened in the last fifteen weeks? Regularly invading my brother’s hobbit hole to play games on his computer, psych classes, the occasional book and lusting after Adam Levine and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I had surgery to remove all my wisdom teeth as well (not the most endearing of experiences - my cheeks were so swollen that I resembled Don Corleone for almost two weeks). Crikey, that’s it? My goodness, I need to get a life. And speaking of LotR, it’s only 11 days away! *squeeeeeeees and envies American brethren who’ll be able to see it in just 96 hours* Oh my Lord, I’m so excited I could scream. (Even my mother is jittery about it…how unbelievable) Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten my Two Towers extended DVD yet (*kicks computer*), and probably won’t be able to until after Christmas. Of course, I could always head to the nearest store and pick up a copy, but then it’ll cost me $350 TT as opposed to the $250 I’ll pay if I buy it from Amazon.com (*grumbles at the disgustingly high TT-US exchange rate*). I could do a lot of things with the money I save. A hundred bucks is standard cover charge at Pier 1 or Anchorage on a Friday night, or three matinee tickets at the multiplex (or two evening shows and dinner), or you can get about 14 bottles of Smirnoff Ice (“drinks all around!”), or buy 10 movie-sized packs of Raisinettes (Raisinettes? Raisinets?). Better yet, Sno-Caps. luthienlupin, I can’t believe you still had that box from the last time…lol. I didn’t open mine until about five days later actually (in a futile attempt to exercise control over my chocolate addiction). It got the better of me and I snarfed it down in one sitting. I couldn’t risk putting it back in the refrigerator, otherwise my dad would have seen it and then it would have been all over. We really ought to replenish our supply for RotK.

Oh my God, I know I’m so incredibly late with this (hey, I’m from the Caribbean, okay?), but Ubisoft has released a brand new Prince of Persia game! I used to play it as a kid (the original, not the Shadow and Flame sequel), and the thing I remember most about it was deliberately trapping the teeny-weeny prince between some large guillotine-like blades, just to see the 2-D blood spurt out.

Wow, that takes me back *comes over all nostalgic*. Thank God I’ve just bought a new ATI Radeon video card, so I can drop some hints about this new Sands of Time game as a stocking stuffer. I was so glad to be rid of my hideously lame SiS card (*shoots murderous glare at father*) - now I can FINALLY brush the cobwebs off my No One Lives Forever 2 and Splinter Cell games and pop them in the CD-ROM drive where they belong.

I love this bracelet *lusts*.
*clears throat loudly and pointedly in the direction of luthienlupin*

That’s it for now, I suppose. Will make an effort to post more often.

Edit: Perhaps it's better if I don’t see the extended TTT version before RotK - I may just wet myself from all the exhilaration.

Lijjy on SNL tonight!

*huggles luthienlupin for no particular reason*
