Hello Livejournal my old friend...
I went through another one of my phases where I don't post to Livejournal for months. I think part of it might be that all I was posting was cancer news, so there was a bit of a negative association. Now that I'm almost a year into this thing (August is my Cancerversary!) I can look back a bit and marvel. On the best day during treatment it was just an excuse to skip work on Fridays. On the worst day I told my sister to get my gun out of the house. Next up is the follow up appointment, then the PET scan to tell me the actual results of treatment (which should be September).
Been watching movies lately. Mad Max is just as good as I remember it being. Apocalypse Now Redux is crazy long, but awesome if you've got the time. Taxi Driver was really really great, much better than the totally-overrated Raging Bull. Good Night and Good Luck was good but it made me feel like a cigarette. Requiem For A Dream...Jesus. I cannot recommend this movie. It was brilliant and it was beautiful. The acted their asses off. Great story. If I tell you to watch this you may hold it against me. It..ah...it doesn't have what you'd call a happy ending.
