My office feels like a refrigerator and it's days like this that make me HATE winter. These frigid windy days when my ears and cheeks get painfully cold just getting to and from the car when we go places. When I feel bad taking the baby out because she whimpers and tries to bury her face or brush the wind off her cheeks ( Read more... )

the whole place didn't close, just the pharmacy. but since it looks closed and everyone thinks its closed, my mom only gets like, 4 customers (if that) during her entire 7-8 hour shift, never mind when she just works 9-1... she said that most days she doesn't even get a customer until 11. *shakes head* they are closing, but no one will tell them when, and she has no idea if she has a job with ShopRite after it closes, and what she'd be doing if she did work at ShopRite. It really sucks.

I see the signs for the gifts and cards; I'll probably visit in another week to get things for Valentines Day, but not having Joe and Rita is a big hit for that place. I think most folks shopped when they were there to drop off or pick up prescriptions (I know that's what I did).

The uncertainty sucks. Makes me wonder if they have a plan or if they're still trying to figure out what to do. I wonder if they own the building?

joe's still there, he just sits at the computer apparently.

they're eventually going to close the business, but no one knows when. i think the entire thing is awful, and why would shoprite sell the prescriptions to drug fair when they have their own pharmacy? i have no idea why they're doing all this, they must be losing so much money =(

That seems like an odd, bad situation. I didn't know shoprite owned them, but it does explain why things are so complicated.
