Kairi's smile widened when she saw her roommate. "Sure thing!" she replied, cheerfully.

"Fancy seeing you here," she added. She rang up the order, wrote it up and passed the order to her co-worker to get started on Euphemia's drink before she fetched the biscotti from the display. "How's your day going?"

"That's great!" Kairi smiled. She'd seen how much work Euphemia had put into the essay and thought the other girl deserved a bit of spoiling. "I've been doing pretty well myself. I think I've finally gotten settled here."

She pulled out a couple boxes from behind the display to start counting the doughnuts. "Have any specifics you want or just assorted?"

"Yeah, it is," Kairi agreed. She began picking out a number of various doughnuts to pout in the boxes. "I've met a few great people here, you included." She gave an apologetic smile. "Though I feel a little guilty for not getting around to talking to you often."

She finished packing up the doughnuts, picked up the finished latte and set it all down next to the cash register, giving Euphie the total price.

Kairi gave a simple nod of understanding. "Well, we can probably find some time to talk," she said. "After all, we do sleep in the same dorm."

The red-head tossed a glance at the clock. "I've got a half-hour break right now. I could help you take that back, if you'd like." She'd hate for Euphie to drop everything and have to apologize to her friends for it.

"That's a great idea!" Kairi replied, her smile returning in full force. She stepped back from the counter and signaled to one of her co-workers that she was heading off on break. Slipping off the apron that was part of her uniform, she came around into the main area of the shop and held out her arms to take the box of doughnuts. "Here, lemme take those for you."
