I can't believe Hem recorded a song for the Starbucks Holiday CD. Starbucks has a habit of brainwashing otherwise amazing artists. What's up with that? It's incredibly disappointing.
:( hmm ... there's a lot I would have to say about this, but it's a jumbled mess of an oppinion that I don't think will ever manage to fit in the box of sense out side of my own brain ... ... I don't tend to pay attention who does what for what in an artist ... I think that's why I have a huge collection of music but don't recall the names of anything ... I remember the words, the key changes, the emotions it gives me, the taste it leave in my mouth and where I escape to ... but the artist ... I only recall artists until they've been succesful to get such a reaction as I've describes (because some songs are as soulless as cement) ... and I don't know what artist does what on what what what ... because I really don't care about most artists, I care about the music and sounds and where they came from ... .. I pick up info on the way but you know .... and well this isn't what I originally thought when I reacted to you're journal, but it's what I thought of my thought ... and that's a thought
P.S. I loved the CD!! I pop it in when I need to unwind and right an attempt of profound poetry about unprofound people
P.P.S. I had this idea ... and I've been meaning to do this for so long ... ... but how about we start a club ... where we get together and share creations that have moved us, or our own creations ... poems, essays, stories, art, etc.
