well is 2:37am, i decided to fill out the new years survey that is making its way around the LJ world, so for those that are interested, here are my responses:
1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
travelled to new places like seattle, LA, san fran, colorado.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i don't think that i made any last year, so in that case, i kept them hehe. i am making a couple for this year, big changes are coming for me, that is all i will say, but i am hoping that they will be very positive. knock on wood for me please ;)
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
YES!!!!! my cousin's wife, michelle, gave birth to my gorgeous, amazing, and precious in every way, niece Emily on august 8th! i adore her!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
yes, sadly my grandfather died, but he lived a very long life and was in his late 90's, with no health problems for his whole life except the last couple months. i miss him.
5. What countries did you visit?
none, sadly but i have this newly developing desire to go back to italy!
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
a masters degree..which i will be done with in august!
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory?
mid may, saddest day of my whole year =(
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
going to colorado to a microsoft boot camp, getting the best score in the class on 2 of my exams
9. What was your biggest failure?
failing my 3rd exam, missing it by a couple points. but am retaking it in a couple weeks.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i had a weird pain in my back a couple months ago, went to the ER, turned out to be nothing, just a viral infection thing, got some vicodin out of the ordeal tho ;)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
more memory for my digital camera and my favorite ralph lauren jeans
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
rosie
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
gw bush, and his limiting definition of what a family is, expressing his distaste for a gay or lesbian family
14. Where did most of your money go?
travelling, co pays, rent, life..
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
to take an actual vacation to cali this past summer and falling in love with san fran

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
depends on the day..
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
saving money

spending money
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it with my mom and family. it was fun and got to see my niece, which was the highlight, for sure
21. How will you be spending New Years?
doing someting fun with 2 of my roommates, what that is exactly, is yet to be determined
22. Did you fall in love in 2003?
i remained in love with the same person
23. How many one night stands?
1 but it isn't something i would repeat
24. What was your favorite TV program?
alias, queer eye for the str8 guy, queer as folk, sex and the city
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
nope
26. What was the best book you read?
angels and demons, the da vinci code (in the middle of it now, fucking incredible)

pretty girls make graves, gary jules, hawksley workman

dvd player (30 bucks from best buy, great deal!)

my amazing roommates made me a wonderful breakfast and then surprised me with a lasagna dinner when i got home from work. it was so sweet and fun.

if the event that happened in may, didn't happen at all...
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
jeans, jeans, jeans, and oh jeans.

i can't name just 1...umm cristina, my brazilian roommate is a great example of someone very special

just do it, stop thinking about doing it, and actually get it done.
