journal, will you forgive me?
okay so i realize that it has been eons since i last wrote but i have been busy, so please excuse my tardiness!
where should i start! ummm well my love is here, has been since the 3rd and each day has been more amazing than the previous one. her presence has just lifted my spirits so much. i can't get enough of her. we have been around each other 24 hours a day since she arrived and right now is the first time that we are apart =( i miss her so bad. she is trying out a semi-possible job at a chinese food restaurant called fusion in davis square. we went job searching on saturday and we dropped off her resume at a bunch of places and the guy at this place asked her to come back monday morning at 11:30 sooo thats where my baby is, probably learning how to be an expert chinese chef. we are trying to be neutral about it just in case it doesn't work out. we have another lead at a cafe in brookline where the guy is french and our future roomie recommended it!
yesss you heard me correctly, we found an apartment! we looked at like 7 places last week and while we did meet some interesting people and looked at cool places, we settled on a place on the brookline/chestnutt hill line, like 10 min from simmons. yay! the roommates are another lesbian couple, heather is 21 and her gf, angelica is 26 and the other girl is katie and she is bi, i think. so yeah, we met them on saturday and we really got along. i don't think it is charlotte's favorite place, but since my mom decided to start preaching to us yesterday about how it is unfair to her that we are living in her house, and she knows about everything and charlotte's parents know nothing, we decided that the quicker we could move out the better.
there was a place in somerville, wicked cheap but it was living with a 38 year old eccentric lesbian who has a cat and was petting it and dropping the fur all over the floor, not nice. we looked at a reallllly nice place in medford but we wouldn't be able to move in until late august. another place was on the arlington/cambridge line and it was cheap but we would have to pay 2 months upfront which is a littte tricky. soo this place in chestnut hill is our new home and its so fucking exciting. it was so fun looking at places with my baby, it is like we are starting our lives together and its incredible. just thinking about it makes me want to cry out of happiness.
okay so yeah the apartment, thats been discussed. now onto alanis! we saw her 5 times on the tour, starting on june 4th in CT, june 5th in boston and june 6th in maryland, june 7th in new jersey and june 8th in jones beach on long island in new york. for every show, we were either in the front row, or second row and in the CT show, we had to suffer in the 5th row, which of course was fine. my favorite show was jones beach since we originally had 13th row, which sucksss but charlotte, heather and i snuck up to the front row where there were vacant seats and we were inches from alanis. the best part was the fact that rosie was there in the audience!! i went up to her before she show started and shook her hand and just told her that she is awesome, and she was happy to meet me. so that would have been fine for me. i have met her in the past and she was wicked nice, but the fact that she was at an alanis concert was so cool.
so the alanis comes on the stage and i am all excited and then i notice heather and charlotte telling me to look to my right and rosie is there with her camera, taking tons of pics of alanis. i am like brushing elbows with her and i am like hysterical inside lol. she waves to me since i had just talked to her before and she starts talking to me like we are buddies for life. it was crazy. she is telling me that she loves alanis and i tell her that i had seen her 7 times since may 29th and rosie is all impressed and says that she wishes she had seen her more on this tour. but its just crazy because rosie keeps talking to me, asking me questions about the show. she tells me that she has a backstage pass and can take pictures from the stage so she asks me to tell her a good time to go do that, when alanis is not at the mic stand soley, but walking around. so she was next to me for most of the concert and we talked nonstop. then she is getting ready to go and take pics from the side of the stage and she asks ME for my email address so she can send me some pictures. i nearly died!! i was omg, ummm sure i will give it to you. so i ask her for a pen and at first, she doesn't have one, but then she finds a sharpie and she has me write my email address on her hand!! i have no idea how i was able to remain calm but i did and rosie kept thanking me for letting her stand next to me. i was like umm it was my pleasure!! so unreal. so yeah, she has already emailed me twice and since her scanner is broken, she asked for my address and she is fed-exing some to my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if i ever receive them, i think that i will just die lol.
yeah so the other alanis concerts were incredible and the fact that i was able to experience them with my love, made them even more special, just being able to hold her and kiss her throughout the shows made it so memorable and amazing.
so thats the latest update. ohhh and i saw camo!!!!!! that was awesome since i hadn't seen her since like december. it was great to see you camo!!!! yay!
