I actually agree with so much here. I mean, I still have "hope" that somehow, it'll make sense. That the show it'll get back on track, because this season (for me) is a lot of hit-and-misses. And, unfortunately, a lot of it is more of a miss -- and killing off GOOD and/or LIKABLE characters for (seemingly) no reason? Not cool.
Still, they've weaved a web so large and tangled, that I'm not sure if it'll be good for the writers or the fans. And, a confused fanbase so confused that they give up? Not a good thing.
It's just frustrating. The show used to be so good. What the hell happened?
I think part of the problem is that they've fallen in love with special effects...to the detriment of character and plot development. It seems like much of what's driving the plot now is "Hey! Wouldn't it be cool if..."
I remember being at the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen and being excited for characters. Now, I'm at the edge wondering what the heck they're doing and why.
They really have. I don't mind special effects, until it takes away from the story. Like this has - unfortunately. I really ohpe that with the mention of "over doing it" with the $$ on the line, that they start to (re)focus on the actual story.
... and find a way to make sense of the messed up timeline they just gave us.
My God. I didn't get to watch this episode due to certain situational issues, but I think from what I've read I finally have lost faith. Mr. African Isaac was one of the big reasons why I watched anymore, since between the sheer retconning and convolution of the story, I have come to be completely uninterested.
You know, I used to say that a Dallas ending would be the only way to make up for the crap that the writers have given us, but I don't even think that that can save this once good series gone horribly, horribly bad. I hate to say this, but I really hope that it isn't picked up for another season. Give another worthy show its limelight and let this one die.
Like I said...I'm hoping that Ando will run up and smack Arthur with a shovel. We can't just de-power everyone. Unless the show is trying to turn this into their major theme this season...as a counterpoint to Mohinder's obsessive desire to get powers, we have our main heroes lose their powers and then somehow defeat the super-powered villain anyway. Thus proving that they are more special without powers?
it wouldnt be Heroes anymore if all the main character lose their power lol...it would be pointless if they prove they can beat the villain without power coz this is superhero show which focus on power....
You're right, there was so much out of order here. Claude left the company eons ago it wouldn't make sense for him to be just hanging around in an alley.
Sylar and Elle was while cute, odd. Especially the no recognition thing in their later meetings. Also the fact that Shandra was never mentioned was odd because in the end hrg got into Mohinder's cab meaning they must of been on Sylar for a while/seen it happened and yet nothing.
And if you watch it, it really looks like Noah forced Sylar into being a bad guy by offering tasty treats. *rolls eyes*
Honestly, they're furiously retconning to make Sylar into a good guy. First it was that his power made him do it. Now HRG made him do it. Poor little Gabriel is just a victim.
1. I liked Angela and Linderman having this tender moment. That explains a lot. And I also like your idea that Linderman was secretly in love with her. 2. Meredith...Eric did not tell her that Claire was alive. He did not. He said that he was letting her go because her daughter died - he did not say that she was alive. Other than that, you are absolutely right - things just did not make sense chronologically. Dr. Suresh. Sr., was already killed by the time Mohinder appeared behind the wheel in New York. And yet Noah and Elle did not mention that - seems like they were unaware of Suresh Sr.
2. But after she said that the Company had killed Claire, didn't he say something like, "Is that what they told you?" Doesn't that at least imply that her daughter hadn't died after all?
