Canada didn't work out. Lots of reasons.
About two weeks ago I got a call from Rogue Brewing. They wanted me to interview for a job as head brewer at a new pub they're setting up in Portland, OR. It was an existing beer bar, a very nice, established place--they were just adding a brewery to it. The interview *seemed* to go well. I was incredibly excited, very happy, looking forward to working there.
They emailed me this morning. Picked someone else.
There aren't any other brewing jobs closer than Nevada. I don't want to move to Nevada. I can't *afford* to move to Nevada.
I'm terrified of taking another office job, or something that isn't a brewing job. I'm afraid if I do I'll never get back into brewing, and that'll pretty much be soul-death for me.
