You Know What I Love?

Kids.  No, really, even my little boring angels this semester (I say "boring" because you wouldn't believe how "exciting" some of my kids have been in the past).  Today, we decided how we would re-write "The Gingerbread Man" to make it into an original play.  Here's what popped out of their brains:

The butler in the mansion's making a gingerbread baby for the spoiled brat's midnight snack.  The gingerbread baby's crawling out the door to the barn, where he runs into a pony, a bat, a racoon, and a rat.  The rat tricks the baby into coming over "for a bite to eat," because babies, apparently, "are always screamin' hungry and man, are they stupid."  Then the rat "bites the baby's frosting head off."

I have never heard an eviler mass chuckling session after that last line.  I even had to join in at one point, because, honestly.  Eating babies is kind of wrong, but if they're going to laugh about it...

....so proud of them.  So proud.

Anyway, going to Boar's Head.  Neener, neener.
