X Marks the Spot

Well, the brunt of Mother Nature's wrath is upon us again.
This is the 2nd category 4 hurricane passing through Central Florida within the period of a month.

I have been trying to help people get ready for the winds and the rain for the past four days, and I hope that I have done enough... I am now left with doing the last few things around the house for my family.

We are trying to hunker down here at our house, we have plenty of provisions and will be taking cover in an inside closet. The thing that worries me is our roof has not been repaired from the damage left by Charley (we just have plastic on the roof covering the holes), and I am afraid we might loose our roof completely. Also, if the winds come with any force from the west, we have several large glass windows/sliding doors on that side of the house, and have no way to cover an area that large. We have all of the other windows covered, but could find no way to cover that much area, and thus are vulnerable from that side from the winds. According to the forecast, it should not blow from that side where we live, but I am not placing much faith in forecasts these days.

I just wanted to wish all of my friends good luck and that no-one gets damaged in the storm. Try to be careful, and take extra precautions for your personal safety. Remember, things can be repaired or replaced, but no-one can replace you.

Ok, everyone stay safe, and I will see you all after the storm! ^.^

P.S.
I wonder if there is any buried treasure where the 2 storms are going to cross... X marks the spot! ;-)
