On Bowditch
In my latest little story thing I gave Horatio a copy of Bowditch. This is roughly just possible, although I am not sure when he made it to England. My excuse was this-- if it had been possible Horatio would have revelled in it.
Nathaniel Bowditch is a local hero where I come from, at least in some circles. I had heard about him as a kid. I read the kids book about him when I was small. Anyway-- see what you think.
Also would anyone want to write a piece where he meets Jack Aubrey? They would have loved each other!
