I know I've made a few friendly comments, but it was only NOW that I figured out how to post!
Name: Amy aka Elfmaid *due to my leaf shaped ears* (yes they are for real LOL)

Occupation: Student (Specialty College: Videogame art and design)
Hobbies: Watching anime, drawing, manga, sewing, singing, listening to tunes, playing Everquest/ City of heroes/ Quake/ Unreal 2004
Bands: holy *bleep* how can I start? Everything from old Abba, Heart, Nine Inch Nails, Nickelback, Sisters of Mercy, Enya, Incubus Succubus, Emerald Rose, Great Big Sea, Evanescence, Lost Prophets, Trapt, Good Charlotte, 80's tunes, 90's tunes, some dance and eurodance, almost anything but rap and hiphop and *shudder* country.
I'm actually a semi-professional artist/ illustrator trying to break into the gaming industry. I have a Deviant Art site: http://elfmaid.deviantart.com AND I'm making an amusing web page at tripod cause it's free. (I apologise before hand to you all for the pop ups etc, but hey it's free and their page making thingie is easy to use. Homestead isn't free anymore alas)
Here's the web page about my current projects, just cause it's easier than me giving 50 million links to my own web space... and I suck at html. *grins* I just bought some paterns and will be attempting to make my first Lolita style dress this upcoming weekend... a friend of mine is having a "halloween in August" birthday party on the 13th of August, and I want to dress up cutely! 8)

I borrowed the name Plush Elegant Lolita... hope you don't mind whomever that was! Please don't kill me? *offers lovely chocolates as a peace offering* *grins*
I've always loved dressing up, and this will be huge extra fun, cause my long-time friend Andrew aka Breklor was the one that truned me onto Elegant Lolita about 6 months ago, saying it would suit me very well! And how right he is!
When I get my outfit done I shall get many pictures to amuse you all with! I promise!
I have some NON costume pictures of myself, so I'll try and post them up here for you to look at... as I recall I have a few of me in this amazing carmine red dress my friend gerimaple had me make as a bridesmaid dress. She bought the material so that the other bridesmaid and I would match... cause we all know that every woman prefers whichever style they deem makes them look best. So while we wore entirely different pattern, we matched up dead on! I've never worn a colour this bright.. .EVER... and once I get over the shock of my appearance (my body image is well and truly whacked... I always think I look huge, and this is why I usually wear black in an attempt to look smaller), I end up quite liking the change!
So there ya go... little ol' moi!
(I like to think I have Lolita cuteness down pat already! And I don't even have an outfit done yet!)
