Dear lolita brands, stop putting crosses on everything!

I never see anyone talking about this (I've seen it like once a loong time ago), so I'm wondering if anyone else is just as annoyed, for lack of a better word, as I am about lolita brands putting crosses on everything now? I understand it for like gothic brands/themes because they take from gothic architecture like elaborate cathedrals and stuff,

I personally love crosses, as long as there's some sense to them. Moitie dresses with crosses on them? Yes. Angelic Pretty's latest berry print with crosses on it? Definite nope.

That's the kind of thing I don't like, things like when AP puts crosses with a berry print or carousel print just because.

AP really has only did that with maybe 2 prints...Cherry Marguerite and Shadow Dream Carnival.

If I'm not mistaken these are the only AP prints that feature crosses, compared to all the AP prints they really don't uses crosses in prints that much. I think if I remember correctly there only 2 upcoming prints that have crosses....Holy Theater and Cecilia Cross.

All the same, that's a lot in my opinion for something that just has no business being there, with most of them I feel like it's uneccessary. I just don't know why they would do it other than to just be trendy, which is my guess. (Unless they have some sort of hidden agenda to promote Christianity, which I feel is the least likely reason.)

You are entitled to your opinion of course. AP does tend to follow the money trail, but it could have something to do with the designer and their motif, like how Asuka's favorite motif are berries and Maki's favorite are carnivals. I think there are 2 other designers that stay nameless, so it could be due to one of them that AP has been releasing more prints with crosses.
