Hello, everyone, I've been lurking around the community and the Lolita fashion for a while. I'm finally ready to start assembling a wardrobe, woohoo! I have a few things already that I think might be loliable, but I was hoping the people of this wonderful community would pitch in and tell me what they think. I'm looking for advice on how to make these things Lolita, if they don't already qualify on their own.
Yes, the shoes are Skechers. They are very sparkly though. I like the usual lolita style shoes but know from experience that I can't wear most shoes like those for very long. Can I fudge with these? If not, any tips on how to make proper mary janes more cushioned? (I actually wore these for my wedding and would love to find another use for them!) (Also I'm fairly tall, almost 5'10", and with any heels I usually tower over other girls.)
The blouses I have collected over the years. They're not super frilly, but I was thinking that under a JSK they could work.
I aim to create a small, simple wardrobe of Classic Lolita. The sweet is cute as heck but I can't really see myself wearing it. ^_^ I'm also about 2/3 done creating my own first JSK. It's a very boring grey, but I had yards and yards of this grey fabric already and thought it would make good practice!
Thoughts? Opinions? Advice? Suggestions?
Many thanks!!!
I did read the rules before posting, but if I have misstepped in any way please let me know and I will correct myself or this post as quickly as I can. Thank you!
