My First Meet-up Coordinate

Hello all! I will be going to my first lolita meet-up with the Southern Ontario Lolita community on Sunday... It will be my first time meeting other Lolita's since I'm from a sort of rural community. I'm trying to put together a decent and simple coord so they do not think I'm an "ita noob" (even though I AM a noob... But shhhh). It's a very casual ( Read more... )

Your outfit is very cute! I love the skirt and matching bracelets c: It is very casual as previously stated but that is what you're going for after all. I think it's fine for the meet. I'm curious as to why you seem so averse to bodyline though? Especially considering that Balloon Bears is one of their best series. If the "loudness" is what bothers you most, you can always dress it down by wearing a solid cardigan over it and your solid socks/shoes. If it's about the opinions of others about the brand, from my personal experience, as long as you coordinate it decently nobody will say anything bad. So many people wear bodyline, including myself, and yeah some pieces are bad but they have a lot of good pieces too. Up to you in the end though :)

Now about your second question about meet up experiences- my first meet up was at a butterfly exhibit. I had only met one person there once before, briefly. Everybody was so nice and I made a bunch of friends even though I was so nervous! I felt really welcome and it was just a lovely day. As long as you're polite you should be fine! n_n

I hope you have fun at your first meet and make friends too!

I'm definitely not against wearing bodyline! I love my dress... I just feel like I don't have the right colour shoes to coordinate it with, or the right colour petti. The petti I bought is dark and the OP is all lighter colours so I'm worried it may show through.

Thank you, I will try to have as much fun and be as polite as I can! A butterfly exhibit sounds like a cool place for a meetup... :)
