I am not planning to buy their LP because of the high chance of weird items. I would prefer to see what will be inside like some brands do it with their LPs.

I am wondering why they wrote this. I mean, it was never forbitten to resell bodyline items and trading is not limited to friends :)
If this was written by a lolita brand, I would have hopes that they would host an event in Tokyo where their custoners could meet and trade. But I cannot imagine that bodyline might do such a thing...

So let's wait until the LPs appear in the webshop, then we will see :)

They are talking about what happens outside the shops, I think? Like, I think it's common for people to buy lucky packs and then trade items with their friends outside the shops IRL? Someone who actually has been in Japan at LP time will have to expand on this, but I've heard of, and seen video of, girls sitting on the sidewalk outside a shop and trading their LP things they didn't like after buying big LPs from a few shops?

Now that you mention it, I remember seeing pictures of girls trading their items on the sidewalk. So this is what bodyline might refer to, now the phrase makes a lot more sense to me :)
Thank you very much for clarifying!

Yes, my friend Seiko has told me about doing this many times. You sit around outside the shop and call out "Exchange" if you have stuff you want to trade with other people. So it's actually a really great thing if you're there outside of the shop--unless you get something that absolutely nobody wants!

Yes, the way it is worded is a bit odd. Not sure if it's the language barrier or they expect people not to get what they expected... Even though I am wary about this, if BL did post more details as to the contents and it had a fair amount of basic items such as bloomers, blouses, etc. (and no Santa outfits) that would be... not bad at all, really.

As for brand-sponsored trade meets- does that sort of thing happen often? I was under the impression that they mostly did tea parties and the like, but it would be much better to do trades face-to-face instead of shipping them o-o

I agree with you, the lucky pack could be nice if they would include basic items :) I hope they let you chose the size!

I have never heard of a brand doing brand-sponsored trade meets. This was just my imagination! I am sorry if I confused you!
