I found this video browsing around Youtube the other day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHMpXGg8-HI (You might have to turn on the captions if you don't speak Russian. =w= ) But not only do they give examples of underskirts being worn, it's really good for other tips for tall Lolitas as well! I hope this helps a little bit.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing--I'm about average Western Lolita height (5'4") but I have a dress that hits a few inches above the knees and want it to be knee-length (also I think a solid-color underskirt will look good. I'm particularly hoping to hear about what experienced Lolitas think about including a ruffle as I'm considering that (The JSK I'm thinking of is not very ruffly and has minimal bows too so it could use a bit of frill) Thank you!

I've been looking at making this one http://lotvdesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2011/05/tutorial-chiffon-underskirt-sash.html

Unfortunately I don't have an overlocker/serger, nor is my sewing machine friendly with thin fabrics so I'll end up hand-sewing it :L

Your link definitely helps me! I am planning on trying a cotton skirt, so I don't need to worry about a serger. Thank you!
