I am an enthusiast of drawing Lolita from China. I want to design my own Lolita clothes. I have designed the printing based on the theme of the Tarot of cats. The printing stockings have been accomplished. But I don’t know how to design the element of a dress and match it with the printing stockings. Hope you can give some advice ( Read more... )

I think that looks really good! I think the background behind the tarot cards looks a little bit too simple for my liking, though.. I'm not quite sure which kinds of details I'd use to fill out the space, but it looks a tad empty.

Something else that might look interesting would be using the grey borders as stripes running up the dress as stripes?

The thing is that if somebody designs the dress for you then you're not designing your own clothes. Instead of showing a print for tights and asking someone else to design your dress for you, the better option might be to simply design the dress and then ask for suggestions on making it better. There's sort of no point making your own clothes if you ask someone else to design them for you.

Also, if someone else designs your dress and you end intend on making it and selling this dress for money (people on another thread mentioned that they thought you might be Milano) then you're going to have to give that person some kind of commission.

It's already been found out that she is not milanoo, also, she's not asking for people to design the dress for her, she want's advice on to how to do it, which she clearly states. It seems as if she wants a starting point rather than to have someone simply make it for her.

And no one has to give anyone commission in this situation unless it's agreed upon by both of them, this is just a suggestion thread.

Very pretty~ The theme is really strong and the color choices are interesting. I think it would be neat to emphasize the cat portraits and have the diamond/heart patterns act as more of an accent so that the tarot theme stands out more.

I would love to see what you end up deciding on~ But like another post said, be wary of plagiarism. Advice and feedback are great, but the ultimate design needs to be yours. Good luck~
