Hi!
Some weeks ago I came here asking about whether there were lolitas in Durham University and how people from Durham accepted the way we dress, just in case I was accepted there (turns out I was!).
So - since it's easy to go anywhere by train: is there a big or official (so to speak) group of North-East England lolitas to whom I could talk to over LJ or Facebook?
(If there isn't a group of north east lolitas per se, maybe it would be nice to contact lolitas in big cities in the north-east instead.)
Also, to any lolita that has moved countries AND taken (some of) their lolita clothes with them: how do you do it? Do you tell your family to ship boxes to where you live or do you take them yourself? I'm not planning to take many clothes, especially those that feel a bit more light and summery because I can take those after I come back for Christmas break, but I do want to occasionally wear lolita, and things like boots, coats and a petticoat are a bit tricky to take in a normal suitcase.
If you have any advice for a new loli inhabitant to the UK, like what kind of clothes are a staple in your loli (or non loli!) wardrobe depending on the weather, cities in the north-east where people would be more open-minded to lolita, etc., that would be nice as well. I'm excited but scared nevertheless, so any kind of advice is accepted!
Thank you for reading!
